So today, I wanted to get another workout in. I decided to slog up the Tablerock instead of the greenbelt. I don’t know if it was the best idea.

At least I wore a cute outfit. Brooks running tank & Athleta skirt |
It is over 800ft. of elevation gain. And it is less then a mile and a half! I don’t know if it was the heat (which I think it was) or that I had a lighter then normal breakfast, my legs did not have any energy to climb. And I felt like my heart was going to beat out of my chest. I had to stop a couple of times to bring the HR down, which gave my legs a break, but I was out of energy. Before I made it the 1st mile.

These little guys were hanging out when I was resting. |
I attempted a run down. Which I enjoy doing, but I think I may have done, maybe half the way down with walking the rest of the way.
My legs, mostly my quads, were toast.
If I didn’t think I killed my legs enough, I rode my bike to work. That is 3 miles (partly downhill) to work, and 3 miles (mostly uphill) back home.
I did drink some Optimum Nutrition (2 sample packs that they sent me at no cost to me) as part of my Tablerock recovery. It has creatine & amino acids in it, so I think that will help with any muscle soreness that I do/will have. I have used the chocolate off and on this past year. They sent me strawberry sample packs this week. I think that I like the strawberry better. Strange coming from a choco-addict. Seriously, I really like these sample packs. They have the right amount of nutrients and calories for what I use it for. And they are available at lots of places including GNC & Bodybuilding.com. I seriously love this stuff.
Tomorrow, it looks like I won’t be participating in the 5K I was thinking about entering the BF in. I think we are going to go over to the track. And maybe Shu’s Running to enter in their contests & maybe get the BF (or myself) some new trail shoes.
I need a new pair of trail shoes. These Nikes are too dang hot for my feet. They are comfy for the bottom of my feet & I love the tread, but they are hot and they do give me blisters.
FYI- The 9th, the Bodyfit Expo will be going on. (I will be there trying to get as many samples as I can. And maybe try to touch someones washboards.) Along with Ironman Boise. If you see me, feel free to say Hi! I was at the finish line last year hanging out for the first few men to come across. The BF likes to watch the competitors totally collapse at the finish line. I just like to see what shoes everyone wears.
What sort of trail shoes do you use? Anyone going to watch Ironman Boise or got to the BFExpo? Are you running this weekend?
