Yes. This is a weather whine.
I attempted a Tablerock hike. I woke up early (11am is early for me because of my crappy work schedule) and was out the door and at Tablerock before Noon.
Aw man. I didn’t even make it to the top.
I was close to the top, but the heat sucked the life out of me (it was only in the 90’s but expected to be 106 today) and all of the smoke in the air burned my lungs and throat.
I don’t know where the fire is, but the smoke was worse when I came home last night.
This was only after 2 miles. My face is still red after being indoors for an hour. And yes, I wore white and had my Camelbak on with me.
Funny how no one is out on the trail. 2 people going up when I was headed down. I don’t know how I did anything in the heat last year. Oh, wait, yes I do. I was on the treadmill most of last summer. I guess I am going to have to suck it up and hop on the ‘mills again. Or somehow learn to love the heat and suffer outside.
Where are you running in the summer? Indoors or out? How is the weather where you are?
