Week 12. I am over half done with my training. Only a few more weeks to go!

50K Training Plan
Monday – Rest
Tuesday -4 scheduled, 4 completed I trotted this out on the treddy at home and cried. I was watching the movie Flight and the plane crash scene at the beginning really freaked my shiz out. So, here I am trotting on the treddy, breaking down crying, alone at home. My legs felt good. Like, real good after coming from such a high mileage week. And I even kicked up the pace at the end.
Wednesday – 8 scheduled, 0 completed I really didn’t want to do this, and I wanted to job hunt a little more. I think that since this is a cutback week, it is ok for extra rest days? Well, that is my excuse.
Thursday – 4 scheduled, 0 completed I spent an hour filling out an online job app. They take so freakin long. Decided to make today a rest day. Well, and it was V-day. I did get something from the BF. He even brought me a chocolate covered strawberry! I think I may have done like, 2 loads of laundry, so I felt like I accomplished something. 🙂
I was given the opportunity to try these CORE Defender meal bars today. A review is coming, but FYI-I really did like them. I have tried 2 out of the 3 flavors I was given and liked the Raw Raisin Almond (I had it on Friday for dinner) the best.

Friday – Rest.
Saturday – 10 scheduled, 10 completed I was looking forward to this run. It was the nicest day outside in however long. I trotted to a new playlist that I made up this week. All DJ BL3ND for the whole session. It flowed from one song to another and the beat is pretty constant. Totally recommend this.
I also noticed this week that my weight is down. Its been constant so it isn’t water weight or anything like that but I am down 5 pounds this month and 20 since New Years Day 2012. I don’t know if these high mileage weeks are good for me or work stress is good for me, but I am not complaining. I am just gonna try to keep doing what I am doing. If I can get down another 10 pounds and a pant size, I will be at my high school size. Anyways, I wanted to celebrate my weight loss with pizza and a pitcher of beer. 😉 Today was the best day in such a long time!

Sunday – 6 scheduled, 6 completed This was not like Saturday. It was windy and instead of an out and back loop like I prefer, I kinda just ran around the greenbelt, going over the bridges, back and forth.
What I really wanted to do was run some hills. I had some personal thoughts in my head I needed to psychically put out into the universe, so I just did that on this run. No water or ipod with me. I did take my phone. It was windy and that was so morally draining. It really felt like speedwork! I wasn’t really cold because I thought I dressed well, but that wind can really suck the soul out of you.
How was your week this week? Did you get in to Robie this year? I did! It is the week before my 50K but I am sure I will survive!
