Hey. How’s it going? Sorry for the neglect the last week. But it was an important week for the BF & I. We both had our birthdays!
I made us Boozy Birthday Cake Shakes, and I loved them a whole lot. The BF wouldn’t drink his, but he has an eating disorder where he is no fun and hates sweets.
For my present, he did get me new Hokas. Yay! My 2nd pair and I am just going to looove them.

I will put them through the Half Marathon motion this weekend. I feel that I am going to be really slow this weekend.
I have been putting miles in, but not very confident in my body right now. Burnout maybe? Boredom? It could be a part mental and a part physical issue. I have gained 4 pounds back from the 50K training that I lost. The building I am working in has been really hot, like 90some degrees all night- disgustingly hot, which has me cranky. (translation-I am looking for another job, like, seriously! and I was offered something a few weeks ago, it paid $4 more an hour, but it just wasn’t the right fit for me. I need a healthier work environment then what I am in now)
But, what is good right now is the greenbelt is green. And the trails are nice.
And I am looking forward this summer to slogging and sweating it out on both!
And maybe even having another boozy birthday shake on Saturday!
