Things are changing around my parts! Well, my “parts” aren’t changing, but things are changing!
If you look back at some of the grumbling posts previously made over the last year or so, you may or may not have gotten the drift that I am unhappy with my job. Which has affected my running/blogging life the last few months.
Well, this month, my work life balance has changed!
Sorta.
I started a day shift job. No more shift work for me! No more getting to bed when most of the US is getting up to start their day!
I also am starting up the massaging a little bit more. If you need a massage Boise area peeps, lemme know. I am very excited to finally get licensed… after 11 years of being certified!

I’m gettin’ legit |
My new job that is day shift is a desk job. I have never had a desk related job before! Although I may not be putting my university education into use, but my 2nd job (massage) and I had to submit my massage licensing because, well, I should put my 11 years of certifications and training and experience to work.
I’ve notice my hands are a little rusty as I have gotten lazy with some of the clients I have had for as long as the past 8 years!
I am only doing this 2 job thing because there are things I want, and I don’t want future debt, and don’t have a BF/husband/family to provide for me. Kinda like race training. I have to put in the blood, sweat, and tears for the goal result… which is really falling behind…
I am not sure how this new job thing will be working out, but I have been thinking of how I am gonna schedule marathon training with a 50 hour work week. I have no answers other then potential 10pm bedtimes and long run/races on Saturdays. (My next race is Idaho Wine Run MARATHON – Use code RUNINBOISE for $5 off race entry!)
Anyways. I hope you all didn’t forget about me and once I get into this job groove (oh yeah, I’m taking classes for medical coding, too) I’ll be back to twittering and blogging more regularly…
Any advice for long workweeks and fitting in training? Day shift workers – do you run in mornings or after work?
