My Workouts From Last Week

Posted on January 13, 2020 by runinboise

I have a good week last week.

My workouts were on point.

I worked hard on making sure my macros were all √.

I got all my 100oz of water except for Monday – I did errands after my workout which took 2 hours longer then expected so I have to get back into the habit of carrying a large bottle with me. I had a hangry meltdown and I HAVE to take snacks / meals with me. I can’t

Monday – 5 min of elliptical warm up
                 Legs from the Transform App
20 sweaty minutes of the Stairmaster
20 minutes with maxed out heart rate intervals on the elliptical.
I felt really good with my performance of today. On my Whoop app, I got a 12 strain for the day. I think I have to go that hard longer to max out my strain to 21. I am still working on that.

I think the stair master is the biggest torture device in the gym. I can zone out on a treadmill and focus on a TV show or music, but stairs? Nope. I can’t focus on anything but the burn. 💀🔥 🍑 #boiserunner #idahorunner #run #runner #runnergirl #running #runnerscommunity #runnersofinstagram #run365 #halfmarathontraining #runchat #womenshealth #worlderunners #womensrunningcommunity #womensrunning #thisisboise #whooplive #weightloss

Tuesday – this was a Transform App low carb day and I just did 3 miles of intervals outside. I must of been sucking in cold air hard during this trot since I had a sore throat and it was all night long. I had a counseling appointment and I took 2 snacks and water with me so I didn’t have another meltdown like Monday.

32oz of water, pepperoni slices, string cheese, baby carrots and Premier Protein shake.

Wednesday – Upper body workout of the Transform App.
                      3 miles of intervals outside.
I was really working my speed at my running. And when I am faster, my form is better then when slower. I guess this workout was more of a fartlek. I played with my speed and how long I kept it. The interval fast sprint speed was anywhere of a 7:35 pace to a 9:30 pace. I drank too much water before running and even with a portapotty break half way, I was still uncomfortable. I did get ALL my water in early on this day. And my throat still was irritated all day.

Yay! Nice Weather!

Thursday – I had to travel out of town to see my dentist in Twin Falls and got a teeth cleaning. I really like this dentist and I don’t want to change so I will gladly drive the 2 hours to him. Plus this appointment has been booked over 6 months ago. I planned my dinner eating out and brought all my food and water for the whole rest of the day. I did not have time to get a walk or run in, so I used this as a rest day since most of it was spent sitting.

Friday – I had an early wake up to get a couple of errands completed before 9am. Then it was to the gym. I forgot my headphones so it was hard to get my intervals as hard as I prefer, but I had enough caffeine to keep my legs going because I ordered an extra shot in my mocha this morning.

Elliptical no fun without music.

This was a a good week. I did everything according to the Transform App. I know I was full of toxins, salt, and wine, so I lost a lot of water weight. I was down 8 pounds this week. I feel less bloated, and I can tell my quads are less fluffy.

How was your week? How was your training?
