I purchased the Lifetime Membership of the Transform App a few months ago in September. I have been following it on and off since it came out a few years ago, but never really stuck with it long term. First, I paid for a 3 month subscription, and followed it on and off for a month or two. Then gave up. I was SO CONFUSED by the meal plan it that was suggested that it just seemed impossible.

I am a proud Lifetime Member! |
I then attempted a year subscription, and participated in a local gym event where they wanted to have everyone go low carb for 3 months. There was an App 2.0 update and it made the food plan so much easier to understand. I tracked my food and attempted the workouts in the app, along with this boutique gyms’ workouts during the week. The food plan the gym was recommending was good as it helped me hit my Transform App macros other then the fat and calories on a daily basis. It emphasized green veggies and lean protein at every meal. It was extreme low carb and it was not sustainable with a heavy workout load I was putting myself through. After that was over, I kind of gave up and did not do anything all of 2019. But I did keep tabs on the Transform App. I knew that this is something that works and in September 2019 gave in and bought the Lifetime membership. Since my stress and toxicity was high, I could not mentally dedicate myself to the program long term. I also could not food prep as I was not allowed to have kitchen access in the MIL home. And if a clean diet is 80% of weight loss, I just gave up again.
But the app was still on my phone and I have a lifetime membership. I know there is more to physical life then just running. I like the carb cycling aspect of the app as I know I need a few low carb days in my life after an extreme level of high carb days while drinking alcohol heavily.

Yes, Daniel Craig is naked on my walpaper |
I purchased a gym membership and set aside the yearly fee in my checking account for this year. I love lifting weights and having other options for cardio other then just running outside. I have played with almost every weight loss and fitness option on the Transform App. I don’t like working out at home as I feel weird sweating all over my carpet. I chose the Iron Gym program. I think this was one of my favorites when I was playing with it. I want to build up muscle so I have that muscle shape and strength I enjoy looking at. Plus when I lost all my weight in 2015, I needed the muscle growth in a few areas that I was lacking. I feel this will be my best fit as I need to lift weights and I need to run so I can add running as my daily accelerators per the app recommendations.
I also purchased a Believe Journal to track my running and to journal my feelings. I already wrote down my goals and goal races of the year. Really, the only one I care about is one to keep up consecutive yearly running streak with it is this one. 2020 will be my 9th year in a row! Plus my journal, even though it is an older version, it was unused and only $2.00 on eBay!

Using this to be mindful in my daily life. |
I have also joined in a Run Bet. Run Bets are so much fun and I tried one late last summer and it really helped me get my butt outside. You buy in to the bet, run your scheduled days and split the pot with those who run all their scheduled days. Plus the game I joined in on, they are giving away 5 Garmins at the end of the program.
Well, that is my plan at this start of this year. I have to figure out my running schedule for the half marathon I will be completing in April. I am so excited for what I want to accomplish and how much I can improve my health and running this year.
What is your favorite workout? How do you decided your training and fitness schedule? What plan should I choose for my half marathon training? Hal Higdon? Cool Running? Runners World? Nike? Jenny Hadfield? I don’t recall what I have used in the past, but looking for recommendations.
