It appears that there is no run happening locally for me in the foreseeable future. I have no choice but to sign up for virtual runs – again!
I did a March St. Pats run.
And then I did the Aravaipa 100 Miler and got my 100 miler buckle!
But since then, Corona quarantine has me chill – a little too chill. It is time for me to get back into it!
Here is what virtual runs I am signed up for currently.
I signed up for this when I first got the email at the beginning of this year. This one was really hoping to be given the OK to continue but the city decided it was best to just let it all be virtual. That is fine. You do still get swag on the race weekend in drive-thru style. I signed up for the 5K.
Even though this race has been around for over 10 years, I have never done this race in person. I had a couple of race entries given to me the last few years to use, but since I have a strong dislike for large crowds, this has always been a hard pass. But now, its 100% virtual. A virtual run with no crowds – I am so in! You will get a swag bag mailed to you and download an app to verify your distance, make your own route or do their suggested routes. I’m gonna make my own route and enjoy this one.
Seriously, how cools is this. I’m one of those who love hard seltzer. Its not sweet and I don’t care for sweet drinks and that is the main reason why I love it. My other half just brought me a mango and I seen this ad on Instagram and I go “that’s perfect!”
Then he goes “you spend $40 just because I brought you a $2 drink?”

I seriously have a thing for Catalina. I have been there 3 times and I don’t know what it is about it but I can’t wait til I go back. One of my goals is to complete the Catalina marathon. One day I will, but until then – there is the Catalina Wine Mixer virtual run. Seriously, I Run 4 Movement has their game stepped up in the virtual run world.
